The Matric Council forms part of the student leadership at GGHS. The council members are dedicated to leading by example and upholding the highest standards of integrity, unity, and excellence. Guided by our core values of education, honesty, respect, discipline, pride, communication, democratic principles, and unity in diversity, they strive to create a positive and empowering environment where every student can flourish.

They are committed to inspiring sisterhood among their peers—fostering a spirit of support, understanding, and cooperation that strengthens the school community. Through their leadership, they aim to uphold the code of conduct, promote self-discipline, and encourage every student to take pride in her actions and achievements.

Together, they stand as role models of the school’s values—championing respect, celebrating diversity, and ensuring that each voice is heard as they work toward a shared vision of excellence and unity.

Representative Council of Learners (RCL)

Teacher-in-Charge: Mrs R. Osborne

The Representative Council of Learners (RCL) is a dynamic leadership body that represents the voice of the learners within our school community. Guided by Mrs R. Osborne, the RCL works to strengthen the link between learners, teachers, and school management, ensuring that every learner is heard and valued.

Our RCL plays a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. Members lead by example, promoting discipline, respect, teamwork, and school pride. Through various projects and initiatives, the council encourages active participation, community awareness, and a spirit of responsibility among learners.

The RCL’s core goals are to:

  • Cultivate leadership and accountability in learners.
  • Strengthen communication and collaboration across the school.
  • Uphold our shared values of respect, integrity, and excellence.
  • Encourage learner involvement in school life and decision-making.
  • Promote a sense of belonging and unity within the school community.

By serving on the RCL, learners develop confidence, empathy, and the essential skills of active citizenship—preparing them to make a meaningful difference both within the school and beyond its gates.
