beyond the classroom

Beyond the classroom, our cultural clubs are spaces where passions are ignited, talents are nurtured, and lifelong friendships are formed. They inspire our learners to lead, create, serve, and grow into confident young women who embrace every opportunity to make a difference.

Choir

The Choir Club provides talented learners with an opportunity to develop and showcase their musical abilities.  Membership is open to learners who enjoy singing and those that can play musical instruments. The choir performs at school assemblies, special occasions and important school events, bringing music and entertainment to the school community. Through participation learners build confidence, teamwork, discipline, and a love for music while representing the school with pride

Ready to share your voice? This club is for you if you are interested in spoken words, performance poetry or open minded safe spaces to express oneself

Poetry club is a vibrant community of sisters who gather weekly to celebrate the power of words in a supportive environment.

Chess Club

Chess club provides learners with an exciting opportunity to develop strategic thinking, problem solving, concentration, and decision-making skills. Learners learn rules and techniques of chess and participate in friendly matches helping them build confidence through healthy competition. The club also encourages patience, discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork while creating a fun and challenging environment for learners of all skill levels.

Whether a beginner learner, every member is welcome to learn, grow and enjoy the game of chess

Book club is a vibrant community of readers who share a passion for discovering great literature. Each month, members explore a different genre, broadening their reading horizons and encouraging lively discussion. Throughout the year, we journey through both popular contemporary works and timeless classics, gaining insight into diverse authors, themes and perspectives.

Whether you enjoy mystery, fantasy, romance, historical fiction, or literary masterpieces, there is something for everyone. The club provides a welcoming space to exchange ideas, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a lifelong love of reading while connecting with fellow book enthusiasts.

Ubuntu

The UBUNTU club is founded on the principle of Ubuntu—“I am because we are”. The club promotes the spirit of Ubuntu by encouraging humility, kindness, respect and compassion among learners.

Members are taught to value themselves while also showing consideration and respect for others.

The club celebrates the diversity within our school community, fostering acceptance and unity among all learners regardless of their backgrounds. It also promotes femininity, confidence and leadership skills, empowering learners to become responsible and caring role models.

Through various activities the Ubuntu club strives to create a supportive school environment where everyone feels valued and included.

The aim of the Enviro Club is to create environmental awareness among learners, promote eco-friendly practices at school and within the communities they live in, and to encourage learners to take active responsibility in protecting and conserving the environment.

A few of the activities learners are involved in:

  • Recycling projects
  • Clean-up campaigns- at school, beach clean-ups, coastal clean-ups
  • Environmental competitions
  • Awareness campaigns

Teenagers Against Drug Abuse is a club dedicated to educating and empowering the learners to make healthy, drug-free choices. Our mission is to raise awareness about the dangers of drug and substance abuse, promote positive lifestyles and support teenagers in building a brighter future.

Through educational talks, community outreach programmes, awareness campaigns and peer support activities, learners learn valuable life skills and become ambassadors for positive change in their schools and community.

School Christian Association (SCA)

The Student Christian Society provides learners with an opportunity to grow spiritually and strengthen their Christian values. The society encourages faith, prayer, fellowship and service to others while promoting respect, compassion, and integrity.

Through weekly meetings, discussions, and activities, members support one another in their spiritual journey and learn how to apply Christian principles in their daily lives. The society helps learners develop positive character traits and become responsible, caring learners of the school and wider community.

The Muslim Student Society provides a supportive environment for learners to strengthen their faith, develop good character, and build meaningful friendships. The society encourages the values of respect, compassion, honesty and responsibility while promoting a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and practices.

Through weekly meetings, discussions, educational activities and community service initiatives, learners are encouraged to grow spiritually and contribute positively to the school community. The society also promotes mutual respect, cultural awareness and unity within the diverse school environment.
